  • College telephones!

I am afraid to say that the telephone system at College is still not fully operational. In particular students have had difficulties ringing into College and leaving messages.  Can I suggest that if you want a member of staff to ring you about your online studies that you email me at d.reid@spurgeons.ac.uk leaving a telephone number on which I can contact you and indicating the nature of your problem or question. I will ensure you are called back ASAP.  We apologise for the inconvenience caused.  Debra Reid

We are delighted to be able to tell you that the Journal of Theological Studies (the JTS) http://jts.oxfordjournals.org is finally available to our students through the Virtual Library page of the Online site. It can be consulted/searched from 1996 onwards.  You need to go to the Virtual Library page and scroll down to the section on E-Journals (section C). JTS is in the list so click on the link there.  Providing this online access for our students is expensive so please make use of this excellent resource.

  • Fantastic free e-resources (online journals, etc.) available to all

Did you know that you can easily access hundreds of top quality journal articles and other material just by going to a great website, Theology on the Web http://theologyontheweb.org.uk and its constituent parts such as http://www.biblicalstudies.org.uk and http://www.earlychurch.org.uk? No complicated log-ins requiring user names and passwords are needed.

This is the result of the amazing work of Rob Bradshaw whose mission it is to make high quality theological material freely available throughout the world so that pastors and teachers can be provided with the resources they need to spread the Gospel in their countries. Rob’s hard work benefits us all.

Rob’s latest addition is the Journal for Baptist Theology and Mission The table of contents and all the articles from 2003-2011 can be found at http://www.biblicalstudies.org.uk/articles_jbtm-01.php
