For the sake of having at least on post, here I am. I just signed up for Spurgeon's Online last night. I was considering Open Theological College but this seems more accessible for online studies than the other.

I plan on using this blog to chart my time hear at Spurgeon's and my progress therein. Feel free to comment if you please because ut is always nice to have a little interaction when reflecting on life and school.

I also am including a picture of me and my kids so you can put a face with the words.

Hi Michael --
I am a Level 5 student and I enjoy what I am doing very much. I hope you will too. I am married with two kids who have left home for uni in the USA. That leaves a little more time for work - and these studies.
--Andy

Hi Michael
How are the studies going? I started module one just a few days ago so it is very early days for me. But I must say that I have been impressed with the way the online course works so far. I am currently waiting for the first text book to arrive so that I can get on with unit 2. Interesting that you considered OTC. I actually started a course with them about ten years ago, but very soon found that trying to fit it around a full-time job and family (kids were much youger then) was almost imposssible. I like the way that Spurgeons Online allows you to work at your own pace. I don't know about you but I have some weeks when I am much busier than others, so flexibility is a valuable feature of the course for me.
Take care . Rob

Hi Michael, I just started started the first module of the Certificate, Using the Bible. So far I find it is real enjoyable. But I am struggling to find time to work at it consistently. I am married with a five month old and a two year old and I work full-time. I took a long time to give this a try because I was afraid I would not be able to handle all my responsibilities and complete it. But I am glad I gave it a try and I think the flexibility is great for working people with families. If you get stuck you can pick back up again. Please keep me in your prayers, that I fill persevere this time.
