Come to college on December 4th!
QuoteReply

Hiya,

Ordinarily I hate it when people post the same thing in two different places so please forgive me ;) If you've already read my appeal to encourage you to join me in college on December 4th then don't bother reading any further. You've heard it all already!

However, I just wondered if anyone had given any thought to doing the "Ministry Within Christian Community" module in college on December 4th? It's an optional module from Level 5 but can only be done through face to face teaching at college. You can find out more about here if you click here

It's a bit of a long story (which if you really want to hear it you can do so here) but God's opened the door for me to do this course but when I last checked with Emma George, she wasn't quite up to the minimum number nessesary for the day to go ahead. She suggested I post here on the forum encouraging you other lovely people to come study in London for the day too. Obviously distance is an issue for some people but having checked out the trains from South Wales to London that day, I can reliably inform you that anyone along the M4 corridor can make it up and back in one day (one very long day, but still just in one day!)

The teaching is from 10am to 6pm, includes all the teaching material as well as lunch, cup of tea etc. The cost for the day in December is £80 and you need to book in with Emma George by November 4th. Her email address is here and she has the booking form available to email to you.

There is a second day which will take place some 3 months after the first but the date for that will be discussed and agreed between everyone in December.

I've only just started the assignments for module 1 of level 4 so if you're a level 4 student, please don't be put off. The first thing I asked Emma was if this can be banked (it can!) and if there is a time limit to when it needs to be used (there isn't!) She recommended getting as much studying of the 'Pastoral Theory and Practice' module done as possible before December (that's a compulsory level 4 module anyway, just means doing it a little earlier than normal) but recognised that there would not be enough time to get this completed prior to December's teaching day.

OK, advert over! I'm just really, really excited about coming to college in December (yes OK, I always was one of the girls who loved school!) and would love to meet as many of you as possible.

Have a great day,

Eleanor

Hi Eleanor,

I too am interested in this module, but I am stuck in Module 1 (Reading the Bible) and want to finish this first. Maybe in a few weeks it is ready. Also, I live in Holland, so it takes not much but a little more effort to get to London. Woudl there be another date for this day in the not too distant future, so that I can be better prepared? And does this module consist of the two days only?

Thanks! I cannot guarantee I will be there but I can look into it.

So I just realised this was a year old, your posting!

Then it is good, i will wait and see what is going on in 2012 if I can make it then.
