Great to have you with us Rachel. I am sure your previous study with Cliff Colege will be excellent preparation for this course.  Simply go to My Profile and choose the module with which you would like to start.  I hope you enjoy studying with us.  Debra

Does that mean I can choose diploma modules or do I need to wait and see if there are any certificate modules you feel i need to study?

Rachel

Hi

I'm in Penzance, Cornwall, hours of travel from the nearest theology library.  I'm on about 12th or 13th course unit, and loving it.  I work in church health and new expressions. I have links with the Salvation Army, but am not involved in the local corps, which is small and elderly.

Blessings

Eleanor

Hi Rachel,Have you applied for credit transfer to gain access direectly to level 5 (diploma)?  If you have, you will probably be aware that this sometimes takes a little time to work through the University channels, and transcripts etc. are usually required.  My suggestion is, why not pick a level 5 module now to get going with?  If the University will not grant you advanced standing to this level nothing is wasted... you can simply go back and fill in at level 4 if you need to.  But it's up to you.  Some people prefer to know exactly what the University will permit before they begin.  If you want to discuss this further now please don't hesitate to give Susie Summerton a ring at the College or send her an email; details on How to Apply, Credit Transfer page.  While she can't make any promises she usually has a good idea what the University will permit based on her long experience.  Hope this helps for now.  Debra

Yeah I've found it really helpful too :-) who said isolation was splendid?!   So how come you choose Spurgeon's?

Spurgeon's offered what I wanted distance learning with the ability to go at my own, often very slow, speed.    What about you?

Similar reasons couldn't leave the area, as I've just become assistant pastor at our church, so it had to be distance learning, and this one at the time seemed the best around and accessible, it's now even better with it being on-line.  Yeah it's great for being able to do lots when things are quiet in church and very little when the pastor is away or were doing tent missions etc. Plus my Dad went to Spurgeon's so seemed an obvious choice.
