Getting the conversation going...
QuoteReply

I just thought that this forum needed an opening entry - it looks forlornly empty!

I am month or so into the F&G module and really enjoying it.  I have set up a group on facebook entiltled, 'Help Steve Watch Films' and invited my contacts to join it (a) to lend me any of the films they might have, and (b) to come along to the film nights posted as events on Facebook.  So around 30 people joined my group and around 5-7 people have joined me (different group each time) to view films and engage in a bit of discussion afterwards.  It is working well and there is a lot of interest in the church and among my non-church friends in the module.

If you are doing this module, perhaps we could link up on FB?

Great to hear this Steve, and I hope this continues to work well!

My wife and I watched the film of Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray the other night. Raises lots of fascinating questions about ethics, aesthetics etc. etc....

Hope others are getting on OK too

Good to hear from you.  I have not seen Dorian Gray (well, not the most recent film version).  Reviews seemed a bit scathing as I remember - mainly around the acting of the guy who played DG.  I remember being quite impacted by the novel some years ago.

Not a mad ruch of correspondence on this site.  Is it possible to get the email addresses of the other course members?

I'm afraid we can't distribute others' email addresses, Steve...but we'll try to get the conversation going here!

Easter blessings to all
